The BAC is chaired by a Councillor and resourced by the Council&#8217;s Transport Unit. Membership is open to any member of the Yarra community with an interest in policies related to cycling and the development of the City of Yarra&#8217;s bicycle network.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News from Cycle Sport Victoria: Jayco Herald Sun Tour Womens 3 day Tour<\/strong><br \/>\nThurs 15 &#8211; Sat 17 October, 2009. TL Sports, Cycling Australia (CA) and CycleSport Victoria, are pleased too announce an exciting new three-day Womens Tour to be held in conjunction with the Jayco Herald Sun Tour. Part of the CA National Series, the Women&#8217;s Tour will comprise three stages including a road race, individual time trial and a criterium in the Geelong and Melbourne region. The teams event provides a unique opportunity for female cyclists in Australia with great event benefits creating a real sense of occasion. TL Sports are hoping that the Tour can become a permit fixture on the racing calendar and are looking for an expression of interest from sponsors. This was one of the biggest FMR&#8217;s of 2007 so we&#8217;re doing it all again. Join in and experience some of the most spectacular night-time views in metro Melbourne. It&#8217;s a mostly gentle 22 km ride along the upper and lower Darebin Creek trails (OK, there&#8217;s one big-ish lump in the middle). Estimate arriving in Alphington around 11:30pm.
