Making space in Yarra for active transport during COVID19<\/a>: since April 2020, YarraBUG Radio has\u00a0done a series of interviews on\u00a0supporting safe movement for active travel\u00a0and public health initiatives due to the COVID19 epidemic\u00a0including\u00a0Cr Rohan Leppert<\/a> (City of Melbourne),\u00a0Cr Jackie Fristacky (Yarra City Council), Dan Kneipp, CEO<\/a>\u00a0(Amy Gillett Foundation),\u00a0Sam Hibbins MP<\/a>\u00a0(Victorian Greens Transport spokeperson),\u00a0Megan Sharkey<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Dr Ben Beck<\/a>\u00a0about\u00a0#SpaceForHealth<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Philip Mallis<\/a>\u00a0offer to assist riders plan their journeys.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At their July meeting, Moreland Council are considering additional infrastructure<\/a> due to COVID19 concerns.\u00a0Read minutes here regarding(link is external)<\/a>\u00a0items for Safe Movement of Pedestrians and Cyclists – COVID-19 Response\u00a0and Removal of car parking spaces to support cycling infrastructure.\u00a0Do you walk or ride\u00a0the Capital City Trail\/Linear Reserve in North Fitzroy\/Carlton and would like to see improved lighting in the area?
