Next Mums (& Dads) on Bikes ride: Sunday 6 September, Father’s Day, to CERES Environment Park, East Brunswick along Merri Creek Trail. What better idea than a bike ride on Father’s Day? Bring the kids and your family for an easy ride along the Merri Creek Trail to CERES Environment Park in East Brunswick. There’s lots to see and do there, and the organic café is fabulous and will provide a wonderful father’s day meal or snack for the  dads who come along.  Feel free to invite others who haven’t been on a bike for a while. Bikefun Brunswick Op-Shop ride – Saturday, 5 September 2009: Find a fun outfit, or maybe a bargain. We’ll stop for lunch on Sydney Road. Time: 9:00am – 3pm. We start early so we can take in a few of the smaller op-shops that close at midday. Don’t forget to bring panniers to take home your treasure.

Gran Prix MTB Beginners Social Ride – Sunday 6th September: The plan is to head up to the You Yang’s for a few hours of beginner riding and instruction. An intermediate level of fitness is required, as we will be riding for at least two hours. If you have never ridden the XC trails out at the You Yang’s, then this is your perfect opportunity to give them a go. Bring some food for lunch and snacks for riding. Where: You Yang’s State Park. Rangers Car park off Branch Rd. You Yang’s is located approx 60mins, along the Geelong Freeway, from the CBD. Meet here and then drive a bit further into the park, so don’t unpack everything at the rangers hut.

Time: 10:45am SHARP as we need to drive to the trail head from the meeting point. Bike: Fully serviced MTB and plenty of water to drink. Cost: Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, free!! What if it’s raining??
